First produced about 1920 by Reising Arms Co. of Hartford, CT. In 1922 production was moved to New York City and continued by the Reising Corp. As production continued, cosmetic variations were made, including finger serration design, which is most visible. Tested as a practice weapon by the U.S. Army in 1922 and 1924, the pistol was rejected both times. An unusual revolving takedown button and lack of a manual safety are two important characteristics. Total production appears to be less than 5000 units.
