Introduced in 1929 in .32 caliber, this “Police Pistol” was of such advanced design, featuring a reliable double action operation, that it became an immediate success. Later produced in 380 and 22 caliber, it is still manufactured today in essentially the same configuration. Production was discontinued in 1945 and resumed in 1955 by Manhurhin in France. License later returned to Ulm in Germany. License was also given to a manufacturer in Turkey. Other new features were loaded signal pin and external hammer. A few PPs were produced in 25 caliber. These are rare collector’s items value in the $2000 range.
