A modification of the WTP1, the striker protruded through the rear as a cock indicator, the grips were two panels, and the safety was moved forward to give the pistol a more normal look. The Mauser banner is on the slide as well as on the grips. About 40,000 were made from 1938 until 1940 when Mauser switched entirely to military production.
